Now Hiring: Insulated Metal Panel & Clean Room Carpenter Carpenters Local 1846 – Mississippi Carpenters Local 1846 is seeking skilled Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) and Clean Room Carpenters to support ongoing and upcoming projects throughout Mississippi. Position Overview Qualified candidates will perform installation and assembly of insulated metal panel systems and clean room construction in industrial, commercial, and specialized environments. This work requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Install insulated metal panel (IMP) wall and ceiling systems Construct clean rooms, controlled environments, and specialty enclosures Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Perform layout, framing, panel installation, and finishing work Ensure all work meets industry, manufacturer, and safety requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant jobsite Qualifications Journeyman Carpenter status or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience with IMP systems and/or clean room construction Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and specialty installation equipment Strong knowledge of jobsite safety practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and willingness to work project-based schedules Preferred Experience Prior carpentry experience Industrial, pharmaceutical, food processing, or high-tech facilities Familiarity with air-sealed environments and precision installations Compensation & Benefits Union wages and benefits per Carpenters Local 1846 agreement Health insurance, pension, and annuity Opportunity for steady work on high-quality projects Carpenters Local 1846 Serving Mississippi’s skilled union carpenters Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $27 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
