Job Details Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing proposed plans and specifications, and identifying labor, material, and time requirements.
- Review and interpret electrical and architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project scope.
- Use estimating software, such as Accubid, to accurately calculate total costs associated with project.
- Evaluate and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop comprehensive understanding of the project.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Electrical Estimating, Project Estimating, and Cost Estimating in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in reading and interpreting electrical and architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using Accubid or similar estimating software.
- Experience in working with data centers, dealership construction, automotive construction, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants.
- Solid understanding of multi-trade estimating.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
